BUT EVERYONE can ask for Crits, even if they arent a subscriber simply by putting "Crits Welcome" either in their picture description or even in their title (if they can fit it in).
Even when i wasnt a proffesstional artist, I only ever offerd advice,tips etc if someone delibertly asked for it because many people put their artwork up online simply to share with freinds, family and fans.
So if I see a picture I like i fav it and say "your girls always blow me away" or something like that.
When artists I admire have asked for Crits i've been happy to give full, chunky ones that they could get their teeth into
Or look at it this way, as you pass people on the street you dont offer directions to everyone, you nod or say hello, then if you spot someone looking lost and they ask for help, you can then offer them directions
